Reader calls on Barr’s resignation

Ms. Dorothea Barr, the Dumfries Council member, and Congressman Charlie Rangel (D) from New York apparently have the same opinion when it comes to paying taxes! That opinion is either “ I forgot to
pay them” or “They get paid when I am good and ready!” Ms. Barr’s “tax issues” go back 13 years, and yet she wonders why everybody “is making a fuss” over her “tax issues!”
After reading the lengthy article on Ms. Barr’s “tax problems” and her “lame” excuses for not paying them on time, it boggles my mind that someone has not started “recall” proceedings on this tax cheat!
There is no doubt in my mind that Ms. Barr did not want her long history of tax delinquency to surface prior to her election to the Dumfries Town Council. It is very apparent from the article that Ms. Barr
has a “what’s the big deal? So I didn’t pay my taxes on time” attitude, and if she doesn’t have the decency to voluntarily resign from her position she should be recalled ASAP!

Let us also call “for” the resignation of the writer & editor responsible for the title placed on this letter.
