Over the last several weeks, I have read in these pages a litany of letters denigrating the leadership of Chairman Corey Stewart and the Prince William Board of County Supervisors in addressing the issue
of illegal immigration.
In contrast, I join a majority of Prince William County citizens who support the Rule of Law Resolution and respect Chairman Stewart for having the intestinal fortitude to step forward and lead the BOCS
through a deliberative process that has produced real results for Prince William County.
By all accounts, crime rates in our county have taken a nosedive since the implementation of the resolution, while crime rates in the sanctuary county to the north have increased appreciably.
Additionally, a whole host of positive results has accrued to our county as a result of the resolution. A reasonable and forward-thinking person would rightly conclude that the resolution has produced
positive change in Prince William County.
At present, I am a senior military officer and have some insight into the national security implications for our community, county, commonwealth and country by the unlawful presence of others.
I will retire from active duty in several months and look forward to joining this just effort in Prince William County to ensure that our economic and national security are no longer jeopardized by a failure to
enforce the laws of our land.

Mr. anderson, thank you for serving our country. there is nothing wrong with Mr. Stewart and the rest of the county board wanting to show PWC residents that illegal alliens are a plague, the problem comes when he (Mr. Stewart) makes every Hispanic look evil in the eyes of American citizens, using illegal alliens as an excuse to oust the rest of the Hispanic community out of PWC is unacceptable. dotherightthing, your are doing the wrong thing by saying that only illegals commit crimes, what about the rest of the society? crime has been going down long time ago but Mr. stewart wants credit for it. arresting and deporting a few illegals a month is not going to solve the problem. any idea how long it will take to deport 20+ millions that live in the US?

cobra, you STILL haven’t answered my question about how, in the City of Manassas, two HSM candidates were spanked in the Republican primary despite YOU living in the City and still claiming a “majority” of voters support the illegal crackdown. In this case, it looks like HSM supporters were the MINORITY - get it yet?
By-the-by, did your Cobra come in yet?
Should be a nice ride.

Sounds like a Republican and racist piece of political propaganda - something from HSM, Letiecq, or the BOCS. As Hitler’s propaganda minister said: ‘tell a lie long enough and people will believe it”. This military officer is trying to pretend to be knowledgable on local matters. However, he just re3peats the lies and unsupported statements made by the anti-immigrtation crowd. Even racist
stewart was unable to cite ONE example of his resolution allegtations’ needs whe he went before the GA to plug it. Alljust anecdoteal - no facts, sources, studies, etc.
The resolution, directed as ethnic cleansing, against brown=skilled persons (Hispanics) is based on va.‘s rich racist heritage including miscegenation, which Hitler copiedx in 1935-45, but which Germany abandoned after WWII. Va. kept it’s miscegenation law until the US Supreme Court in 1967 overturned it in Va. v. Loving. Whites were “supreme”; blacks, Asians, and other minorities could not marry, have sex, cohabit, date, etc. white, who were supreme. Liberals court members gave good old virginny its lesson. Alabama kept the lasw on its book until 2000, ven though unconstitutional. Legal is legal, the anti’s cry. So, along comes Corey, lving among too many Hispanics in N. Va., who see a political opportunity to pring racism to PWC, so he and Stirrup more here. He has accomplished little if anything, excapt to maske PWC the laughing stock of the US, make PWC No. 1 in foreclosures, cause declining home values, close senior citizen center, and tell voluminous lies. It’s all a fascist regime of supervisors.
Now along comes Mr. Anderson, who just parrots the anti=s line. Like those racists, he makes unsupported statements, offers no proof anything, and tells lies about the crime in PWC, which regularly in the media say crime in PWC has been in decline for 5 years. Now, I understand how in the military, one is not supposed to think, but do what you’re told. Mr. Anderson hsas not read newspapers and his brain cells are dead. Or, he could have Southern racist white trash roots. Perhaps he wants to write Republican lie ads for McCain.
This leads me to wonder why Mr. Anderson and all his admirers haven’t written about how greatm Bush and Cheney are. I suspect he and the others simply do not have the courage, fortitude, and atrength to do so. Just cowards of the county.

Mr. Jacobsen:
The resolution has made the communities safer and a more desirable place for children, especially young girls, to walk in.
Maybe Mr. Jacobsen never talked with Mrs. Angelos, whose son was murdered by an illegal alien. Or the victims of sex crimes committed by illegal aliens. Police in other jurisdictions have stated to citizens here in Prince William County that the word on the street is don’t come o PWC to commit a
crime.
If Mr. Jacobsen doesn’t mind living amongst criminals, he should move to Fairfax where their crime rate and gang violence are on the increase. You can even hire some illegal aliens to help you move.

willow703,
The Occoquan area of PW County is beautiful. I had a boat at PW Marina for several years. I’m glad that area seems to be calm. I do have to tell you that many parts of Manassas had increased street crime. Not saying it’s all associated with the influx of Hispanics but many of the young males do not adjust well in our society. I know many of the City Police Officers and they can tell you that there are many gang members in the area. Those gangs include white kids also. Something had to be done other then to release foreign illegal criminal aliens back into our community. I guess that’s where many of us disagree with the way it was carried out. We could no longer wait for the Federal Government to fix the problem. To continue to demonize Corey Stewart gets us no where. There will be another election and everyone will get a chance to vote for those that share their views. Sometimes we like it and sometimes we don’t. I can honestly tell you that my 16 year old daughter feels much safer in our neighborhood now that the day labors are all gone. Cracking down on illegal immigration will never be popular in the Hispanic Community as they realize that the majority of illegal aliens are indeed from the Southern Hemisphere. They believe that if they are lucky enough to get to the interior of the US then they should be able to stay. That is just unacceptable to the majority of Americans.

Quit your crying Gary,
You lost your two illegal house painters so now you turn your anger towards Corey Stewart. Very productive on your part. Why is it that Liberals can never accept fair and open election results? You and those that share your open border ideals will have an opportunity to put up a candidate in the next election that also shares those views. And your little snide Anti-Hispanic comment is typical of you. I have read the entire Resolution and I must have missed that part about Hispanics. I will go back and read it again.

I agree with Mr. Anderson’s comments.
I support Mr. Stewart and the entire membership of the Board.
I have been a Woodbridge resident since 1965 and have seen many changes in our community.

Corey claiming the Resolution has lowered crime is like George W. Bush claiming his energy policies have kept the cost of gasoline “in check”.
Since we don’t know what would be otherwise, it is hard to argue against, but unbelivable at the same time. Willow, you are right-on with your observation.

The overall crime rate has been in a steady decline for at least the last five years, long before Mr. Stewart arrived. Check the PW County police statistics. Mr. Stewart, like any politician, would like everyone to think that his anti-Hispanic policies have produced this result. Sorry, but it ain’t so.
