Over the last several weeks, I have read in these pages a litany of letters denigrating the leadership of Chairman Corey Stewart and the Prince William Board of County Supervisors in addressing the issue
of illegal immigration.

In contrast, I join a majority of Prince William County citizens who support the Rule of Law Resolution and respect Chairman Stewart for having the intestinal fortitude to step forward and lead the BOCS
through a deliberative process that has produced real results for Prince William County.

By all accounts, crime rates in our county have taken a nosedive since the implementation of the resolution, while crime rates in the sanctuary county to the north have increased appreciably.
Additionally, a whole host of positive results has accrued to our county as a result of the resolution. A reasonable and forward-thinking person would rightly conclude that the resolution has produced
positive change in Prince William County.

At present, I am a senior military officer and have some insight into the national security implications for our community, county, commonwealth and country by the unlawful presence of others.

I will retire from active duty in several months and look forward to joining this just effort in Prince William County to ensure that our economic and national security are no longer jeopardized by a failure to
enforce the laws of our land.

Right on Mr. Anderson,
We need more Patriots such as you in PW County. The resolution has absolutely had a positive effect in many of the communities in the County. Unfortunately Mr. Stewart still receives criticism on a daily basis from the same few who are upset about him being elected to run the Board. They just can’t seem to understand that he is doing what the majority elected him to do. For once we have a Politician who has the moral courage to do what he promised to do if elected. We have a fundamental disagreement with those that support illegal immigrant’s rights to remain in the US. They believe that if you are lucky enough to make it to the interior of the US then you should be allowed to stay. We on the other side completely disagree with that policy which makes us all racist. Beyond that, there is no middle ground for us that are against illegal immigration. Those on the other side continue to muddy the water. They will do and say what ever it takes to advance their cause.

Mr. Anderson:

You comments are timely and hit the nail right on the head on the issue of illegal immigration.  Chairmen Stewart, Vice-Chairmen Stirrup, and our Board should be commended for leadership on the issue of illegal immigration.

Despite the efforts of the illegal immigrant sympathizers such as Mexicans without Borders, Unity in the Community, Anti-BVBL, 9500 Liberty, and the editors/writers of the Washington Post, law-abiding citizens will once again level the playing field come election time for those elected officials who are upholding the “Rule of Law” in our county.

A warning to all PWC citizens, don’t believe for one minute that the so called documentary titled, “9500 Liberty” directed by Eric Byler and Annabel Park is a fair and unbiased approach to the illegal immigrantion issue.

Mr. Byler is a political opportunist who directed a hit piece directed at Senator Allen for the Webb campaign, and is currently directing a video on behalf Senator Obama.  He has edited the comments of those Board of County Supervisors whom he is friendly with and citizens, from his documentary, “9500 Liberty, in an attempt to sway public opinion. PWC government employees should not be giving this individual interviews.

I think that what most of the critics of Corey Stewart are trying to say is:
1. He didn’t need new laws.
2. He seemed more interested in blowing his own horn than in illegal aliens.
3. His confrontational manner created tension that was unnecessary.
It is far too early to see what effect his efforts have had overall, but I live less than a mile north of the Occoquan & there has been no noticable increase in crime in my neighborhood.
