When you go to the polls, remember that everyone working to ensure your vote is recorded is a paid volunteer receiving less than minimum wage for about 18 hours work.
They are not given breaks, are not allowed to leave and must abide by certain state and federal laws regarding working the polls. To help them, and to speed up what are certain to be long lines, be sure
you have an ID.
Also, be sure you are at the correct polling place for your precinct. If you moved but did not change your address with the county registrar, you will be asked to fill out a change of address. And above all,
please remember to thank them. It will be a long day for them all, but I assure you they will all be proud of their service.
