Running with the wrong priority

While our shared taste in homes or jobs brings us together, I sometimes think it is odd how neighbors can be so different. Look at Prince William County and the neighboring Fairfax County.  Both
counties MAY BE FACING significant cuts in Commonwealth funding, as Richmond tries to balance its books.

In Prince William County, the county executive, Mr. Craig Gerhart, proactively directed his agencies to tighten their belts. Under his leadership and as praised by the Board of County Supervisor
Chairman, Corey Stewart, Prince William is getting ready to live within its budget.

But in Fairfax County, their chairman, Gerry Connolly, on WTOP radio’s “Politics Program with Mark Plotkin,” ranted critical of Prince William County’s budget preparations. While Fairfax County faces a
$430 million dollar “revenue shortfall” next year, living within its currently projected funding seem to be an anathema to their leadership.

Now, I believe, that really begs a question, what will Gerry do? RAISE YOUR TAXES?

I don’t think this backyard squabble should matter much to anyone except that Gerry wants to become the next U.S. representative for Virginia’s 11th Congressional District, where he would represent
about 1/3 of Prince William County. And that would not be good. Gerry runs with the wrong priorities and I hope we elect someone who knows better.

I don’t know enough about Fairfax’s budget to comment on Connolly’s past, but I do know we couldn’t ever afford to live there.

I saw the Connolly/Fimian debate in Montclair and Connolly just rubbed me the wrong way—he’s too much of a polished politician.  My gut says don’t trust him.

Gosh!  Does no one have anything to say about Robert’s letter?  I think he makes a very good point about Fairfax County and it wrong-witted supevisor.  Yet, all you can do is comment about something else?

Cobra, per usual your racism against Hispanics rears its ugly head.  Take your disappointment and hatred somewhere else.  No one needs it.

Better yet, go do something constructive.

Same old BS from Kgoddhardt,
Every issue comes back to Corey Stewart. You must soak several towels a day with your crying. If you care so much about our tax dollars, where were you when PW County was spending $5m a year on uninsured births with the over whelming majority being Hispanic? That selective moral outrage by you is silly. You continue to come with up with your cute little sayings such as “social chaos”. Must have stayed up late to think that one up. What a miserable wretch you are. We know you love illegal aliens, Ok, we get it.

Robert, I’m a Fimian fan myself, but I’d like to remind everyone how PWC has wasted what little money we did have by spending millions on a “resolution” that could have been implemented for FREE without half the social chaos we are experiencing as a result.  If our belt feels a little too tight, we have have Stewart and his VICE to thank.
