If ignorance is bliss, Donna Widawski and many of her fellow citizens are enraptured: “Founding fathers would have said no to NVTA,” March 19.
The NVTA plan was created by the legislature of the Commonwealth of Virginia, the bill was signed into law by the Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
The bill was designed by the legislature to fool the Donna Widawskis, who seldom read beyond the headlines. It was designed to give Republican legislators deniability of responsibility for the sad state of
the commonwealth’s affairs. And that is easy. They didn’t raise your gas taxes — at 17 cents per gallon, among the lowest in the nation, with no increase in 20 years.
Your house is on the verge of being condemned! That’s okay. It hasn’t cost you anything to fix it.
Those of us who think can only hope that by the time of the next elections, Donna Widawski and company will have realized who has been outsmarting them.

Neither Mrs. Widawski nor citizens need a lecture from Mr. Salisbury. They are paying attention to the issue and understand clearly whats at stake.
Maybe Mr. Salisbury can be a man and not use unkind remarks to get his point across. You loose in your argument when you attempt to diminish the opinion of others by disparaging comments. I guess it is a tactic used by individuals like Mr. Salisbury, when they don’t have an argument.
