During the last two years of the Barack H. Obama campaign, the Potomac News has continuously stifled any negative facts about Obama. The facts are as follows:
Obama has had admitted and unapologetic racists (Wright), terrorists (Aires) and indicted campaign contributors (Rezko) associated with him for his entire life, but this paper refuses to report it. These
are all facts that Obama doesn’t deny. This paper will, however, print falsehoods about McCain. The Potomac News perpetuated the myth that “McCain wants a 100 year war”....even after everyone of
conscience acknowledged that this was a hit piece, constructed by the radical left.
The true character of Obama has been revealed. His wife was never proud of this country until her husband ran for office. Obama thinks that Pennsylvanians cling to guns and religion. And when
confronted (which is rare) he deflects the question by blaming Bush or McCain for the summers being too hot or the snow being too wet.
Hey Obama, we aren’t as stupid as you think we are ! Good luck

I guess my point barnun is where were the Republicans “searching for the truth” these past 8 years? I can’t say Obama was my first choice either. Mark Warner could have walked away with this election and we would have someone that could actually unite this country. I’ll vote for Obama but I won’t cry if John W. McBush wins. I supported him in 2000 - well at least until Mr. Rove told me McCain was mentally ill.

Actually, Barnun,
your quote:
“If McCain had been a member of the KKK for 20 years and then quit only during his campaign, would the democrats give him a pass ? “
I lived in Mississippi 13 years, and learned a few things about folks down there. One is that current Governor Haly Barbour, former RNC chair, is an active member of the “Conservative Citizens Council,“ or CCC, which is a modern incantation of the KKK. In fact, until the blogs started publishing this, the CCC website openly advocated the same policies as the KKK and some other racist groups, along with a picture of group leaders and Barbour. Following some local exposure as to their policies, the website was redesigned and their positions were hidden behind a subscription-only firewall.
My point is, Barbour was and is continuing to be given a pass as to his affilation, as was former Senator Trent Lott who, at least at one time while a senior US Senator, was (is?) also a member of the CCC.
So spare me the racist equivalent nonsense. Go back and check which “ministers” McCain actively sought endorsements from, and their public teachings.

Ron,
Where have you been for the past 60 years?
We have had troops, with tanks, artillery & air support in Germany & Japan for all of those years and on Korea for more than 50 years. We haven’t been fighting wars in those places for all those years. We had troops in France for 20 years after World War II.
I was there for a while, didn’t fire a single shot.
Why go to youtube? The clip has been played ad nauseum on ABC, CBS, NBC, & Fox.
phdee,
Partisans see & hear only what they want, independents operate without blinders or earplugs; though it often gives us a headache.

Ah yes, phdee lets us all know exactly how much more educated and enlightened liberals are than conservatives.
Of course all politicians are dirty. There’s plenty of dirt to be found on both McCain and Obama. The disturbing thing about Obama’s dirt is that it reveals associations with people who are either terrorists or terror sympathizers…and he had no problem with the beliefs, thoughts, actions, or words of any of these people until it became a political inconvenience.
We are in a life and death struggle with Islamic extremists in the form of Al Qaeda, Iran, and Syria (amongst others) and I refuse to vote for a man like BHO who would even contemplate appeasement. I say appeasement because there is no such thing as negotiating with them precisely because they are extremists who believe that all who do not follow Islam or submit to Islamic rule must die. They have said so more times than need be counted.
So where exactly is the jumping off point for negotiations with people like that? That’s a rhetorical question…because there isn’t one. They negotiate in the currency of blood…and it will either be ours or theirs.
For all his faults, McCain understands this and has the stomach to lead us in this fight. Obama does not. It’s really that simple.
BHO can be picked apart in a million more ways that that. How would he propose to pay for socialized health care, while cutting taxes on the middle class? How would he help lower gas prices if he wouldn’t allow us to increase our production of domestic oil? How would he be a “uniter” when he has the most liberal voting record of all 100 Senators? How can he conduct all the other facets of foreign policy when he has zero experience in foreign affairs?
But none of those matter to me as much as my life and the lives of my loved ones…and those will be greatly imperiled if we elect a man who can’t comprehend (or lacks the courage) to continue to take the fight to Al Qaeda, et. al, where they are…rather than where we are.

Ron, Keeping troops there like we have in Germany is not the same as the 100 yr war that the liberals have spun his statements to be. It’s funny though how all the democrats want to overlook rev wright. If McCain had been a member of the KKK for 20 years and then quit only during his campaign, would the democrats give him a pass ?

ray, ray, ray. this election is not about bush or Bill C. but Bill C did fire more DA’s than bush and pardoned for more of his friends. You like to fuss about libby but they tried to burn him for plume and it turned out he’s not the one that outted her. It’s funny that all the come backs for Obama’s short cummings are just a finger pointing at the current administration. They are not in this election. I dont like Obama, he scares me. he’s the new tax man. before you crucify me though, Mac was not my chosen one either. I liked romney. He is financially smart and has a proven track record on health care accomplishment.

Just a white trash conservative Republican from racist PWC, no doubt. From what I’veoticed, mcCain is the one who escaped scrutiny.

on your statement:

if you go to:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VFknKVjuyNk
You’ll be able to hear and see the actual video clip where McCain states he’s fine with keeping troops in Iraq for 100 years “maybe 1000.“
No liberal hit piece here, other than for once Liberals are actually making a conservative eat his words.

So, where is the proof that The Potomac News has not mentioned Wright, Rezko, Aires, Obama’s wife’s statements and other “negative” information about Sen. Obama?
Where did you get all of this “negative” information? Another newspaper, television, talk radio, the internet? Good, ill-informed is the person who has only one source of news.

I am a military officer (prior enlisted/NCO; have been in the service for 20 years); I not excited about either of these repulicrats. I don’t see how neo-cons, bible-thumpers, liberals only cling to what they want to know/hear/believe. If you would do you homework, you’d find that all politicians have shady characters in their past, their all on the take at some level, and their habitual liars. The Bush family got much of its wealth from Shell Oil company, which provided the petrolium products that kept the Nazis going during WWII; using your logic then, the Bush family are Nazi sympatizers—give me a break! Get a clue Mister! Politics is a dirty business and they all lie, exagerate, and misuse/mischaracterize their opponents statments. So stop being a partisan and have an open mind. Your main problem with Obama is likely not his past associations with controversial people, it is probably something that is only skin deep…
