Why do the Supervisors feel the eastern end of the county is more worthy than those of the Western end? We are the western end, not the WEALTHY end.
I addressed the board the week the Manassas Day Senior Day Care program was closing. I told them these are tough economic times for all. We are all cutting back in various areas.
Yet, the supervisors discretionary funds were NOT cut. So, why don’t they all kick in $20,000 each and keep the center going for another year. Well, that would just simply make sense and show caring
and respect for the elderly and their caregivers.
I find the board’s action to close the Manassas program UNFORGIVABLE!! They should be ashamed of themselves.
And to those that will still have the program in Woodbridge: Watch next year, it will be you too. Although, they have had John Jenkins and Hilda Barg down there for decades promoting and supporting
seniors. This can NOT be said for the western end, and it looks like they will continue to NOT care. This is a real shame.
It’s funny how millions for immigration was “a small portion of the budget.” Yet, $160,000 can’t be found for our seniors.
I was brought up to respect my elders. Clearly, our supervisors don’t feel the same.

Truce, it is. We don’t disagree ont the vets. Like I said my father was not a candidate for the center.
I sincerely accept your apology. It really is me. I promise it is. The Mrs. gave me a ride to my car at the McCoart building about 2:45 am after the marathon citizens’ time.
I hope to see some more programs for those in true need to return to the county soon. It’s important to remember the problem didn’t happen overnight, and it won’t go away over night.

The problems with the program were that it wasn’t really benefiting enough people and or cost effective. Private care was actually more beneficial for most people. Lets call a truce on the matter because i feel we both care about seniors and veterans, albeit in different ways. I would never at all costs put my parents in a nursing home or a senior program. What happened to my dad should never happen to anyone’s parents. We should of sued if only on principle. Hopefully with the drastic scaleback in illegal immigrants we can get some more programs back into the budget. Other than that we should hope for the best for the economy. If you are who you say you are then kudos to your efforts. I apologize for calling you Mr. Pannell in that respect. If you or your husband truely know who i am then i propose a meeting. I am the REAL Chris Pannell. I do agree with not wanting illegals in our community. However, they are not an issue with the Manassas Senior Day Program.
I am not a FRAUD.

Marty Nohe only cares about a fast buck, so i’m sure he cuts corners in hiring. I hope him and Principi both get sacked. If you are the true Chris Pannell then you would be happy with the decline in ESOL as well as other legal enforcement actions taken against illegal aliens. There have been times pictures of all the participants’ faces were shown.Clearly, you have no respect for anyone, including your hateful self.

How are you privy to all the records of whoever was enrolled in the Senior care program Mr. Pannell. Obviuosly something was wrong with the program if the supervisors voted 8-0 against it. According to the decline in enrollment ESOL has 14000 less students, as reported in the Potomac News. Personally i think we should be putting more money into healthcare, and less into caring for people<illegal aliens> who shouldn’r be here. Where is the care and concern for legal immigrants in all of this? As i have stated many times before you know their are illegals here commiting crimes, day after day after day. Spare me. I don’t need to make a sworn affidavit, i just need to stop by the prison, most policemen will back me up on that one. LOL Chris Cummings

zcx: please go to the police and make the sworn affadavit of fraud, graft, theft, illegals, etc. you constntly allege exist in PWC services. Please take your evidence along. I have asked you several times to do this. You know you are a coward and tell big lies. You simply have no proof of anything, and you know it is a felony to make a false report. I think it’s important for all to know. The Manassas Center was set up on a “sliding scale”. The alternative has a price for all, as if they all had the same amount of income. The folks at the Centers are of a prideful generation NOT looking for a “hand out”. They want to pay something. Not everyone has a deep pocket book, and especially with the cost of everything these days. The Center also provided transportation the alternative does NOT. As the “baby boomers” age the need will only increase for these types of places.

It was stated several times at PWCBOS meetings there were NO illegal immigrants there. What makes YOU think I want illegal aliens in our community?They do NOT fit into the equation here.
BTW-14000 ESOL students have NOT left the county. Where did you get that number from. Clearly, not the PWCSB.
FYI-I’m a WOMAN!!! Very telling of your way of thinking. Of course you would think I was man. You have talked to me face to face on more than time. Ask the Mrs. she can tell you who I am.
