With the three-day tax holiday this weekend, August 1-3, the Prince William Regional Chamber of Commerce would like to remind area shoppers that as they stock up on back-to-school essentials, they
can also be a part of economic vitality in our community as they support the businesses that support Prince William.
When you buy locally, you are investing in the businesses that are the backbone of our community’s economy — creating jobs, paying taxes and giving back through their involvement in community
programs. An added bonus? With gas prices at record highs, less time spent in the car can boost your personal economy as well!
With its diversity of shopping options, you will find everything needed for the first day of school right here in Prince William. Potomac Mills and Manassas Mall provide name-brand shopping off interstates
95 and 66, and quaint “old town” districts in the City of Manassas and the Towns of Occoquan, Dumfries and Haymarket provide unique, walkable shopping experiences.
Also, while you are picking up back-to-school essentials, the region’s Chamber encourages you to grab a few extra supplies for children in need. These can then be brought to any of the 60-plus member
businesses serving as drop-off sites for our “Tools for School” supply drive, which last year benefitted 1,600 area children.
Visit http://www.RegionalChamber.org to find a site near you or to learn more about this and other community development activities of the Chamber.
Not sure where to start shopping? Visit the Chamber’s online directory to locate businesses that support Prince William, at http://www.RegionalChamber.org. With listings for more than 1,200 organizations,
the region’s Chamber is sure to connect you with just what you’re looking for as you buy Prince William for price, quality and convenience!
