The high price to pay for ’free love’

As a child of the ‘60s, I remember all the talk about free love and the flower children made it look like everybody was doing it.
The thought of celibacy, chastity and fidelity were far from the minds of the hippies that were listening to rock bands and celebrating free love in the open fields of the USA. Where have all the flower
children gone?
The John Edwards affair shows that there is a high price to pay for unfaithfulness. His lover, his precious and beautiful family and the nation are suffering from his decision to be unfaithful and then to
deceive the public when confronted with the information.
The moral is that there is a no such thing as free love. There is a very high price to pay for unfaithfulness. A price that very few people really want to pay.

DO THE RIGHT THING: AS FAR BACK AS TOM jEFFERSON, WHITE MEN, ESPECIALLY SOUTHERNS HAVE BEEN MESSING AROUND WITH BLACK WOMEN; BLACKS MALES WERE CONSIDERED NOTHINGS. OBAMA HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH HIS FAMILY’S CRATION. AND MAYBE HE HASN’T RESEARCHED HIS FAMILY TREE. WHAT REALLY IS YOUR PROBLEM, OTHER THAN BEING A RACIST, REPUBLICAN, AND A PREJUDICED PERSON?

and doright, Obama is responsible for his father’s actions because ..... ??
This does not bode well for the Bush twins. What a burden they’ll have to carry the rest of their lives.

John Edwards wanted everyone to know he had the affair while his wife was in remission. Its like the Clinton defense"It wasn’t really sex!” Cigars were really popular that year.
As far as Obama, he admitted he doesn’t even know how many half siblings he has. His family tree must be far reaching. Family values are stellar in his family!!!

I always said back in the day Bill Clinton was searching the Yellow Pages for a drycleaner the best thing you could do for him was to bring him before Congress. Would you rather face Congress or be sent home to face the wife? Me, I’d take Congress in a heartbeat!

Edwards didn’t withdraw because of his infidelity. He withdrew because he wasn’t getting the votes.
But yeah… he’s so decent he denied the affair for almost a year until the evidence became overpowering.
Another slimeball politician. They run on both sides of the spectrum.

Maybe McCain was a flower child back in the 60’s. The flower has wilted - he has a foot in the grave.

And there IS a high price to pay for unfaithfulness. You end up owning more homes that you can count.
Cheers, John McCain. This Bud’s for you. Made with the finest character, judgement and values available.

I know I have been personally devastated by John Edwards poor decision to get some action on the side. I haven’t slept more than three hours a night. I find it difficult to bathe. I have kicked my dog angrily on more than one occasion. My bills have largely gone unpaid, and I’m finding it impossible to connect emotionally with my wife and children.
How can I look at them each day? All I can think about is “How could a politician have an affair? What IS this world coming to?”
/end sarcasm.

Was that John Edwards or John McCain? Oh, it was John McCain - defender of Republican Family Values - that dumped his wife and family to run off with the ‘other woman’. Mr. Edwards had the deciency to withdraw from the presidential race.
