After moving to Georgia last summer and missing all my friends, associates and the organizations to which I belonged while living in Prince William County, I had the opportunity to visit for a few days in February. A highlight of that visit was the performance of the Prince William Symphony Orchestra (PWSO).

I just want to assure the people of Manassas, Manassas Park and the Prince William County area that their orchestra is in fine shape and that their performance was great!

The orchestra, led by music director David Montgomery, played the music of Mozart beautifully and the guest artists were superb!

Marius Sima, the First Concertmaster of the Jena Philharmonic Orchestra in Thuringia, Germany; Scott Ballantyne, an impressive internationally-recognized cellist and former professor at the Julliard
School of Music; and Camelia Sima, a brilliant pianist who has made many radio and television appearances throughout Europe, all performed with distinction.

To have such international talent play with our wonderful orchestra provided us with a wonderful evening of great music in Prince William County.

I strongly encourage the people of this area to attend and support the PWSO performances — it is a jewel in the crown of Prince William!
