The suspense is over, the horror begins

Well, we’re all glad now that the suspense and question of who is going to be the Democratic candidate for president and vice president is finally over. It’s especially gratifying to know that with Obama
and Biden you will have two of the most rabid abortionists — if they are elected — ever to reside in the White House.

Biden aside — Biden has been asked by the Catholic ArchBishop to forego communion because of his pro-abortion positions — Obama has a history of not only holding a fervent pro-abortion stance, but
has voted against every attempt (in the Illinois legislature, at least) to regulate even some of the more horrific and onerous abortion practices such as partial birth and live birth abortions.

I am not entirely anti-abortion; there are circumstances, I strongly feel, where it is or can be justified. But I do not support abortion for its own sake. A history of trying to make the practice of abortion
tantamount to infanticide, as Obama has apparently done and most probably will continue to do if he is elected president, is something that every rational thinker and anyone with even an ounce of
humanitarian compassion should consider when they go to the polls this fall.

I have never read anything about Obama being a fervent pro-abortionist, pro-choice yes, but fervent or rabid.

I’d like to know which one of the numerous Archbishops asked Biden to not take communion?  Surely not Deleware, where Biden’s home is, Deleware has a Bishop.  Whatever, the suggestion does not equate to excommunication, and it can only be suggested.

It’s nice to see Mr. Grandy has a well-defined opinion about something. Furthermore, Mr. Grandy also appears to write at a near-elitist 8th grade level and has a good grasp of spelling. That being said, Mr. Grandy should perhaps reflect on the current state of American National politics and see that while abortion is an emotional issue for many, it is in reality a non-practical issue for most, falling somewhere behind the several wars currently being waged, the economy, crumbling infrastructure, public education, the deficit…
However, this being America, I must dutifully respect Mr. Grandy’s right to base his political decisions on supporting whomever promises to prevent women having reproductive rights. A true gentleman, a patriot, and a shining example of rational thinking if ever I saw one.

Abortion abortion abortion abortion.

Our country is at war.  The economy is in the tank.  People are losing their homes, and we are facing a major energy crisis.  It must be nice to be so care free, that you have time to worry about the choices of other people.

Go ahead and vote for the pro-life candidate again.  Republicans controlled all three branches of the government for what six years?  And yet abortion is still legal in this country.

This is perhaps one of the most assinine posts I have ever read. Voting against a bill that restricts abortion rights hardly makes one a ‘rabid abortionist.‘

Mr. Grandy must care about this issue more than he is willing to admit.

Mr. Grandy,

Have you noticed the attacks by the liberal media have rabid against Governor Palin.  What about Senator Biden’s history of plagiarism?

The Democrats attacked McCain about the number of houses he owned, at least he know how many brothers and sisters he has!

I hate to inform Mr. Grandy that abortion rights are the Rule of Law of our land. In America, we can’t pick which laws we like and which we don’t, so we have to respect them all.
In defense of President Obama, when the phone rings at 3am I don’t think it will be a call from a clinic asking for his opinion.
Perhaps Mr. Grandy feels we should spend more tax dollars on abstinence programs - which clearly work in Alaska.

Sen. Obama also had a record of supporting legislation such as the Prevention First Act to prevent unwanted pregnancies. Overturning Roe v. Wade will prevent a handful of abortions but will mostly just move them to states that have elected to keep it legal or Canada. Effective education on both abstinence and contraception, along with access to the latter for those who chose it, is going to be what really reduces abortions in this country.
