As a Gainesville resident I am rather disappointed that a major traffic accident right outside my neighborhood didn’t make the paper. The channel 7 news helicopter was covering the scene as a young
man was being air-lifted to the hospital yesterday (July 22).
This all took place at a new traffic light that was installed not even a month ago just to accommodate the new Wegmans shopping center set to open later this year. My husband and I can see the writing
on the wall (not your paper) in regards to this new light and the effects it’s going to have on our community.
I definitely see the need for a light as it is a major intersection. Now, however, the location is disastrous. I can’t believe that none of this is in the paper.
