I am appalled by the lack of respect for a person’s private property and freedom of speech that I am seeing in this city and county.
Whether you choose to have an Obama sign or a McCain sign on your property is your choice and you should be able to TRUST that the others in your city and county are mature enough and respectful
enough to not trespass on your property to deface, remove or replace your sign.
Do those who steal and replace signs really think that they are changing my mind by stealing my sign? I am horrified that my children are learning how hateful some of their neighbors can be.
This is not some football game with a healthy rivalry between schools. This is one of the most important elections in our history and those who steal signs are trying to steal an election through
intimidation and fear.
What other countries does that sound like? Aren’t we supposed to be fighting against fear and intimidation and fighting for freedom of speech and freedom from fear?
To those who are acting irresponsibly and behaving so badly… grow up! Your illegal actions are embarrassing your city, county and country.

actually, real, in another post I suggested it was a die-hard Obama supporter that needed an extra sign for their yard. I was glad to be able to fill their need.
My sign has been replaced and I’m sure it will propel Obama to victory!

I’m with you 1000%. I’m not sure why people are so threatened that someone has a different opinion on a candidate. I can tell you this; if I had a yard sign supporting someone and it was stolen, that would only strenghten my resolve to vote for that person. (And Bravo to the family to put up the “You can steal my sign…“ notice after their sign was stolen. My husband and I stopped and took a picture of it, we were so happy to see it!)

Old Dominion Speedway used to post a sign:
“Trespassers will be shot on sight. Survivors will be prosecuted.“

I think the Castle Laws ought to be strengthened to inculde all the area of your property. “Beware of Dog and Gun owner” Be civil or be shot. You can always shoot to wound vs Kill

I would still like my Obama and Warner signs back. If any Republican feels guilty, you may bring them back, no questions asked.
