Virginia will not turn blue Tuesday

I was reading the Oct. 14 issue and was surprised at the headline about “voters singing the blues.” You wrote “… the Commonwealth and historically Republican Prince William County will turn the corner
into staunch Democratic territory.” Where do you get this information? Nobody has ever asked me, or anyone I know for that matter, who was getting my vote. So where do you come up with the statistics
to back up that comment?

I vote neither party, I vote the person. And let me just say, Obama isn’t the person. In one of his speeches, he made a comment where he quoted Matthew 25:40, where Jesus said, “If you have done it
unto the least, my brethren, you have done it unto Me.”

Jesus was explaining that if we gave food or drink or clothing to anyone in need, it was the same as if we were giving these things to Him.

Unborn children would be considered “the least of these.” Wouldn’t you agree? Yet Obama favors abortion. Does that mean he thinks it is OK to kill Jesus when a pregnancy is not convenient?

I know some of the readers are going to go up in arms and make arguments about when does life really begin in a fetus? Or isn’t abortion OK in cases of incest, rape? That is not my concern.

My concern is that if a man who is running for president of the United States has the audacity to quote Jesus Christ, then turns around and does something totally different, isn’t that hypocrisy? Or is it
just plain old-fashioned bold-faced lying? What else is he lying about? To quote someone else, “Not a sermon, just my opinion.”

“Iran practices a different religion….where its ok to kill , maime and torture for Sins real imagined.“

Much in the very same way Christian Republican President Bush invaded Iraq for sins “imagined”, hanged their leader and killed 600,000 innocent men, woman and children - all in his effort to impose his system of morals, religion and government style on a country of others.  And I know you did not include the word “torture” in your statement - as the USA under a Christian president condones torture as “beneficial” and “justified” when dealing with an enemy.

We only need to look at Gitmo to see where political prisoners are held without trial, access to lawyers, and without being charged.

Or perhaps you refer to illegal wiretapping by the government or the ousting of political opponents from roles in the Justice Department.

Sparky, Bush and other extremists - both peas in the same pod.

But praise be to Allah. America has her first non White Christian man as her president.

“voters singing the blues”

I’d be willing to place a friendly $5.00 wager on that ...

As I’ve said before, if you want to live in a religious-state government system, Iran has space available.
