Where are all the numbers now?

Remember all the media hype about record numbers of democratic voter turnout for the primaries? Approximately 36 million voted in the Democratic primaries. In 2004, the Democratic Party had
approximately 72 million voters (42.6 percent of the 169 million registered voters).
By all media accounts, the Democratic Party during the recent primary was being overwhelmed by new and transfer voters. However, to keep the discussion based on recorded numbers, 36 million is 50
percent of 72 million registered Democratic voters. In this history-making primary only 50 percent voted.
Why? There are many reasons for not voting in a primary, just as there are reasons for Republican voters and independents to vote in the Democratic primary where permitted.
What did come from the results is the clear surfacing of the different voting ethnic and gender blocks, such as African-American, women and Hispanic Democratic voter blocks.
Competence was dropped early in the Democratic contender dialogue and replaced with “change.” There should be no doubt that the idea of “change” strongly resonates with the above three voting
categories. However, this simple word requires a lot more than slogans, placards and rousing rhetoric.
It requires a realistic capability to effect needed changes in a dynamic world environment far different from 2004, and in some respects, different from the 2006 elections. Our president wears three hats
24/7 — Head of State, Chief Executive, and Commander-in-Chief. None of these roles is for on-the-job training and dismissed with just a slogan of “change.”

cobra, of course you mean ILLEGAL non-English speaking children. I do trust you stand by your word that you approve of those that enter this county legally - of which speaking English is not a requirement. Type carefully as it ALMOST sounded like you just don’t like Hispanics in general. I know you’re a good guy but other readers may not.

“It’s a great day in PW County. Would be even better if all you Traitors would move on also. “
What a sad and pathetic little person. Yes, everybody who doesn’t agree with you is a “traitor”.
And your efforts to distort the truth about things are just completely embarrassing. You must think we are all idiots.
Dems have been in the majority in the house and senate for almost two years now. But they don’t control jack. The President can veto anything he wants, because they don’t have a veto proof majority. What we have had in our government since ‘06 is a complete stalemate - which anybody who passed 12th grade government can understand.
Having said that, I agree with you about the racist stuff. I think its completely lame and cheap to play the race card in regards to Obama. There are huge differences in ideas between Obama and McCain. I think most people have better reasons to cast their votes than because of skin color.

Cobra nees medical help. He has gone from using this website as a whoopie cushion to pass gas to chronic diarrhea of the mouth. Needs help.

That’s all you guys got. Just keep calling everybody racist. That’s in the first page of the old Lib playbook. I see old pheedebag is back to bash American Citizens on a daily basis. Hey phedeebag, that illegal Hispanic who raped a 4 year old child will be in court in October. Suspect you’ll be there to support him like you do all the other law breakers. Let’s not forget that it was Libs who denied our overseas servicemen to vote via absentee ballots. They know damn well that over 80% of active military are Republicans. Libs want felons to vote, protest voter laws where id’s are required. As stated, I really don’t care if BHO wins. We already see what happens when Libs control the House & Senate. The have absolutely nothing to show for two years other then a rise in the minimum wage. Funny how the Bush Administration is responsible for 911 after being in office for just 8 months but Libs are not responsible for the current economy after being in charge for two years. Might as well let the Libs take the fall for the next 4 years while the economy sinks further. And what kind of BS is that about Manassas dying. We are in good shape. Homes are now being sold to single families and our schools will no longer be overwhelmed by non-English speaking children who perform way below standards which brings down the entire school system. It’s a great day in PW County. Would be even better if all you Traitors would move on also.

No mrbill - Republicans actually use the word “block” when referring to Democratic voters going to the polls.
Regarding Harvard vs Yale: We know how Yale performs (poorly). I say give Harvard a chance to clean up the mess.

Point being we can beat this to death and until November 4th, it’s all just talk. But as a county we’ll do as we’ve always done and rally behind our new elected leader. Do you think zcx and cobra will come to our victory party?

Cobra is once more using the whoopie cushion to pass gas. Cobra can’t stand the Black Man talking about racial inequality simply because he - Cobra - is a white southern racist, one who dislikes blacks and other ethnic people. While Obama campaigns on a ‘change” platform, McCain is silent, i.e. no change - just the same old bankrupt, criminal, incompetent Bush stuff and Repubs in congress. Shows how mentally shallow Mccain is that he doesn’t see a need for “change”. But, as the Bush campaign proclaimed during Mccain’s previous run, McCain is mentally ill. Perhaps cobra sees that as a great qualification. I’, sure he would have voted for Karen Quinlan too.

Cobra, this is low even for you:
“I just love it when a Black Man in a $5k suite stands up and talks about racial inequality.”
I just love it when a white man in a $5k suit stands up and tells Americans that our current economic situation, which said white man in a $5k suit helped create, is a mental depression and anyone who complains about it is a whiner.
Oh, and a “suite” (instead of “suit") is a room or suite of rooms designed as a residence and generally located in a building occupied by more than one household.
Pathetic.

“Same old cycle every 4 years from Libs. Put up a doom and gloom candidate and tell us how bad our lives are.”
Yeah, Bush has done such a great job over the last 8 years. He’s really proven all of us crazy liberals wrong.
“I just love it when a Black Man in a $5k suite stands up and talks about racial inequality. What a joke. “
I just love that your complaint about Obama is that he’s married to a Harvard Grad. Oh the shame.
I hope conservatives enjoy the next three months. Republicans are about to get rolled completely out of power in November.
