Isn’t it interesting that the Board of County Supervisors are willing to close a Prince William County Public School program at the Group Home for Boys and the Group Home for Girls (which is taught by highly-qualified Virginia certified PWCS teachers) and move to a program at a “faith” based private school without any public knowledge. Both of these programs have served PWC for over 20 years.
They serve Prince William at-risk students and their families.
The Director of Social Services has found the money to save these programs in his budget, in fact even more, but they aren’t allowing him to make such decisions.
So this isn’t about money or education. Could it be about the campaign contributions to certain board members from some trustees of the private school?
This is a public school program and should stay as such.
