Worry about what’s important

Instead of this paper’s concern over waivers for those who have committed felonies, maybe the paper should ask where do all the brave men and women in our armed forces come from.

Not many in this society would volunteer to go into combat for this country in a part of the world where temperatures surpass 100 degrees.

These volunteers live in primitive conditions without a change of clothes or a shower for days on end.

They put up with mortar and rocket fire while in camp and risk attack by snipers and Improvised Explosive Devices when they leave camp on patrol.

All this for about $95 a day.  Maybe the paper should focus its concern on the lack of respect this nation gives to those who wear the uniform while 99 percent of Americans will enjoy their summer at home. This nation owes a lot to our military forces and should start putting its money where its mouth is.

How ironic that we can not allow American Citizens to straighten their lives up and join the US Military but we are quick to forgive foreigners who come here and break the law. We want to give them the house but want to make it tough on Americans who have made a mistake in the past. THE LIBERAL PRESS INCLUDING THIS PAPER SUCKS. It was ok to bring up Mitt Romneys religion but its off limits for OBAMA. Again, Liberals Suck.

I wanted to clarify something. The 95$/day is for a 12 hour/7 day a week job which is the least our front line toops are doing. The pay works out to $7.92 an hour compared to the current minimum wage of $6.55 which is going to $7.25 in July.
