I have decided to become a write-in candidate for political office and this is my platform:
(1) “Press 1 for English” is immediately banned. English is the official language; speak it or wait at the border until you can.
(2) We will immediately go into a two year isolationist posture to straighten out the country’s attitude. NO imports, no exports.
We will use Wal-Mart’s policy, “If we ain’t got it, you don’t need it.”
(3) When imports are allowed, there will be a 100 percent import tax on it.
(4) All retired military personnel will be required to man one of our observation towers on the southern border (6 month tour). They will be under orders not to fire on SOUTHBOUND aliens.
(5) Social security will immediately return to its original state. If you didn’t put nuttin in, you ain’t gettin nuttin out. Politicians won’t be able to touch it.
(6) Welfare — Checks will be handed out on Fridays at the end of the 40-hour school week and upon the successful completion of a urinalysis with a passing grade.
(7) Professional Athletes — Steroids — The first time you check positive you’re banned for life.
(8) Crime — We will adopt the Turkish method. The first time you steal, you lose your right hand. There are no more life sentences. If convicted, you will be put to death by the same method you chose for
your victim.
(9) One export will be allowed: Wheat. The world needs to eat. A bushel of wheat will be the exact price of a barrel of oil.
(10) All foreign aid using American taxpayer money will immediately cease and the saved money will pay off the national debt and ultimately lower taxes. When disasters occur around the world, we’ll ask
the American people if they want to donate to a disaster fund and each citizen can make the decision whether it’s worthy.
(11) The Pledge of Allegiance will be said every day at school and in Congress.
(12) The National Anthem will be played at all appropriate ceremonies, sporting events and outings.

Apparently “phdee” does not understand the crisis this country is in and the worse crisis this country is in “energy” was not even mentioned. Reader indicated writer is filled with hate and bigotry. This editorial is the way it is and you will not find not to many that will deny it. This is not crap. These are answers to questions which is why you do no hear any candidate say an answer. If PWC is the laughing stock of the country maybe you can tell the 92% of the county population why they wanted illegal alien reform and you can also move out of PWC and Virginia if this Commonwealth is not your nest. Yes, I’m a Republican and a write-in vote for me is a no BS vote for change.

1. English is NOT the official language. If you wish to speak English, go to England.
2 & 3. The country would not survive two years & neither would Wal-Mart.
4. As an elected official, you would do as I tell you to do, I would not do as you tell me to do.
5. Even in England, there’s no such word as “nuttin”. Press 1 for gibberish.
Social Security was a bad idea, it should be phased out.
6. You aren’t aware that welfare has already been reformed? You are willing to pony up the cash for these schools & tests?
7. Professional athletes aren’t the only people using steroids & why should government also do that which the NBA, NFL, NHL, MLB, etc., are doing?
8. That hasn’t worked for the last 6,000
years, why should it work now?
9. The world doesn’t need wheat and most of the world eats very little of it.
10. Most of our debt is owed to other countries.
11. It wasn’t written with the words, “under God” & being agnostic, I won’t say them.
12. The National Anthem is already being butchered at every opportunity.
If gross ignorance is the only qualification for elected office, Mr. Lekites is more than qualified.

I have to admit Terrence’s letter to the editor is pretty funny even if he’s describing a borderline fascist country. I mean, really? Hand chopping? hahah.
And I am definitely not looking forward to a 6 month tour manning the observation posts!
Funny letter though.

This “platform” was posted not too long ago in response to another LTE.
Perhaps this writer has not gotten any responses to what he considers a great “platform”, thus he wrote the “platform” as a LTE.
The “platform” shows gross ignorance of issues in the election, and platforms in general. And the writer is filled with hate and bigotry.
Perhaps he should go public with his “platform”. The he and PWC could further be shown to be the laughing stock in the country.

Finally a Republican candidate that does not hide his true feelings. This guy lays his position on the line and leaves little wiggle room for discussion. Well done.
