On Wednesday, May 21, the Hylton Bulldogs Girls Lacrosse Team and the Woodbridge Vikings Boys Lacrosse team each traveled about four hours to Roanoke to play their regional playoff games. Apparently, seeing the other team there was pretty much a surprise to both local teams, especially as contests between Hylton and Woodbridge for any sport, at any level, are usually a bit spirited.

All right. We’re now set on our presidential candidates for November — John McCain and Barack Obama. With a couple of months left until the conventions, all speculation will be turning to the vice presidential candidates.

He was outspent 14 times over, ran an abbreviated campaign of less than 6 months, with no name recognition outside of Prince William County and came within 1 percent of capturing the Republican Senate nomination because of a principled run on defense of life and small government. 

When you attempt to label a fellow citizen a “Hate Filled Racist” you have lost the debate.

Columnist Cal Thomas calls Barack Obama a “polar opposite of John F. Kennedy,” (“Obama: See No Evil” May 30) for contemplating negotiations with unfriendly nations.
