Democratic vice presidential candidate Joe Biden made a quick stop at Montrose Elementary School in eastern Henrico County this morning.
He shook hands, gave hugs and gave a lapel pin to a child. He thanked people for voting.
There were about 30 to 40 people who happened to be voting when he stopped there this morning. Gov. Timothy M. Kaine and several Henrico officials also were on hand to greet him.
The stop was Biden’s only visit to Virginia today.
Kaine encouraged voters to turn out throughout the day and said the election is going to be very close.
