Principi seeks input for community goals
Supervisor Frank Principi, D-Woodbridge, is coordinating a three-day community effort to "make an impact on future development and create an implementation strategy for the North Woodbridge Potomac Communities," according to the agenda for the Nov. 13 to 15 planned charrette.
All sessions kick off at 8:30 a.m. and are held at Botts Firehall on 1306 F St., Woodbridge.
On Nov. 13, the session will open with remarks from Principi and Northern Virginia Regional Commission executive director G. Mark Gibb and break into small group discussions after lunch, around 1 p.m. The discussions will focus on key areas: transportation, community appearance, housing, land use, economic development, open space and pedestrian and bicycle access, ac-cording to the agenda.
After two-hour overview session at 3:30 p.m., the meeting will adjourn until 7 p.m., when officials will give a VDOT presentation on the Va. 123 and U.S. 1 interchange.
On Nov. 14, breakout groups will focus on transportation, public and civic space and land use. And on Nov. 15, a 9 a.m. presentation will look at various land-use scenarios. The meeting wraps at 3 p.m.
