Battlefield improved to 4-0 in field hockey Monday night with a 3-2 win at Liberty. Jenna Irvin led the Bobcats with two goals and Kelsey Trace added a score.
Trace and Erin Mihelcic each assisted on goals.
Goalkeeper Rebecca Wescott made four saves in the victory.
• OSBOURN PARK 7, CULPEPER 0: Lauren Stewart and Jessica Lowman scored two goals each as the Yellow Jackets improved to 3-6 overall and 1-3 in the Cedar Run District.
Megan Daniels, Margot Holland and Katelynn Basala also scored in the game.
• WOODBRIDGE 7, GAR-FIELD 0: Meredith Nelson scored two goals and the Vikings (5-4, 3-0 Cardinal) received goals from Audrey King, Caroline Strand, Chantel Gutierrez, Emily Baer and Bethany Whitlock.
King and Strand both recorded two assists.
Kelly Walker and Lauren Maddox both had one assist.
VOLLEYBALL
• MANASSAS PARK 3, EMMANUEL CHRISTIAN 0: Ashley Kettler recorded eight kills and five aces and Alyssa Robinson dished 26 assists in the 25-16, 25-12, 25-18 sweep. The Cougars im-proved to 6-2 on the year.
• BRENTSVILLE 3, CENTRAL 0: Five standout performers helped the Tigers (4-7, 4-5 North-western) beat Central 25-8, 25-9, 25-14.
Christine Herndon recorded eight kills and went 17 for 17 in serving. Johanna Hummel had three blocks and five kills.
Paige Knowlton was 11 for 11 in serving, had three aces and 10 assists. Alyssa Beach had six serve receives and Sammi Gough was 14 for 14 in serving.
• HYLTON, 3, MOUNTAIN VIEW 0: Karly Lynch recorded six kills, 10 digs and five aces to lead Hylton (7-4) to a non-district win, 25-16, 25-23, 25-14.
Emily Cashdollar (13 assists), Amanda Modrisky (three kills) and Samantha Adam (12 digs) also contributed.
The Bulldogs play at Potomac tonight.
• GAR-FIELD 3, NORTH STAFFORD 0: Kristi Arbogast and Kara Arbogast combined for 11 aces in the sweep as the Indians improved to 3-3 overall winning 25-22, 25-17, 30-28. Kara added 11 kills to her five service aces.
Kaitlyn Mahoney recorded six kills and Chelsie Hendrickson added six digs.
