Battlefield boys to play OP for Cedar Run title

Battlefield High School's boys basketball team defeated Culpeper 52-41 Thursday in the Group AAA Cedar Run District semifinals. The win qualifed the Bobcats for their first-ever Northwest Region Tournament appearance. Battlefield will also meet Osbourn Park Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at Stonewall Jackson High School for the district tournament championship.
On Thursday, Battlefield (10-14) was led by Tyler Bent's 17 points and Tim Horn's 14 points.
