• Age: 43
• Accomplishments: Led the Tigers to Northwestern District and Region II titles as well as a berth in the Group AA tournament. The Tigers finished their season at 22-3 and lost just once in their district. Two memorable rallies during the regional tournament helped keep the Tigers’ season alive.
• Most memorable moment: A five-run sixth inning to beat Broad Run for the District II title. “We came back after being shut out and dominated for six-and-a-half innings, we were able to come back and beat a quality team… It was the biggest comeback I had ever been a part of.”
• Who has influenced you the most in baseball? “Coaching-wise, [former Tiger coach Dave] Pryzbocki and [Osbourn coaches] Keith Howell and Lou Buzzi. It’s those three, and I try to take a little bit from everyone I coach against.”
• In what ways did you grow as a coach this year? “I try to get a little better in everything… but it was making up a lineup with as many guys as we had. Once I did it, I didn’t want to waver… As much talent as we had and as hot as we were, I didn’t want to take anyone out of the lineup.”
