Bill Clark
Forest Park High School
• Age: 47
• Accomplishments: Led the Bruins to their third straight unbeaten regular season in the Cardinal District, despite losing four All-Area first- and second- teamers from the 2007 squad. And for the fourth straight season, Clark turned a first-year goalie into an all-district selection; this year it was Courtney Tayon, a sophomore, who was one of those two goalies to make the all-region squad as well.
• In what area have you improved in most from last year to this year? “Our team’s biggest improvement this year was successfully incorporating our talented sophomores and freshmen into our starting lineup or as first-string substitutions, so that next year we will start out strong,” Clark said in an e-mail. “We are definitely realizing the value of experienced youth league players and look forward to more arriving in 2009.”
• Who has influenced you the most in lacrosse? Former Bruins coach Larry Young and current Hylton coach Felicia Mascarenas, he said.
