John Williams, the Bobcats No. 6 golfer, and Osbourn Park’s Zack Lauzon shared medalist honors. Both shot a one-over 73, a stroke better than Loudoun Valley’s duo of Scott Davidson and Zack Bosse.
Williams’ teammate, Andrew Lister, tied for fifth in the tournament with a 75. Fauquier’s Drew Smith also had a 75.
As a team, Battlefield shot 300, six strokes better than Loudoun Valley. Liberty (314), OP (325), Fauquier (330), Osbourn (339) and Culpeper (374) rounded out the team standings.
GOLF
• FOREST PARK 170, WOODBRIDGE 206, POTOMAC 213: Mitch O’Shell shot a 36 to lead Forest Park to victory on Monday. Seve Cordova shot a 45 for Woodbridge and Ed Quenons helped Potomac by shooting a 47.
Cougars rally to win
Angie Oliver had a team-high 17 digs and the Manassas Park volleyball team rallied to defeat Freedom-South Riding 29-27, 16-25, 13-25, 25-23, 15-11 on Monday.
Setter Alyssa Robinson finished with 20 assists, while Ashley Kettler added seven kills and Leann Breeden six blocks for the Cougars, who improved to 4-2 overall.
• LIBERTY 3, OSBOURN 2: Osbourn fell in a thrilling match on Monday night.
The Eagles (3-4, 1-3 Cedar Run) won the first game 25-18, lost the next two 26-28 and 20-25. They won game four 27-25 before 13-15 in game five.
Sharidyn Snow had 12 kills and eight digs for Osbourn.
Osbourn’s Malorie Greenfield and Melissa Peters combined for 31 assists and teammates Gabbie DeCuir and Shelby Peters combined for 28 digs.
