After spending one season as an assistant at George Mason University, Kelly was introduced on Wednesday as the new head coach at South County High School.
Kelly, who led Forest Park to five consecutive state tournaments and a pair of Group AAA championships between 2003-2007, inherits a young South County squad that had four sophomores and two freshmen, including star Simone Antwi, on last year’s squad. The Stallions were 6-17 and finished sixth in the competitive Patriot District.
