BOYS TENNIS
• WOODBRIDGE 9, GAR-FIELD 0: The Vikings scored a sweep of the Indians to improve to 8-0 on the year and 5-0 against Cardinal District opponents.
Brandon Larsen led the way for Woodbridge with a 6-2, 7-5 win out of the No. 1 singles match. Brandon Bilewski (6-4, 6-4), Greg Hawrysko (6-0, 6-1), Ingu Lee (6-2, 6-0), Nathan Cruz (6-0, 6-0) and Paul Clare (6-2, 6-3) rounded out the scoring among singles.
Bilewski and Hawrysko recorded a 10-4 doubles win and the pairing of Lee and Larsen added a 10-0 win. Cruz and Eric Obeng won the third-seed doubles match 10-5.
GIRLS TENNIS
• FOREST PARK 9, HYLTON 0: Reagan Travis started the scoring for the Bruins (5-0) with a 6-1, 6-0 win as the No. 1 seed against the Bulldogs.
Beth Snodgrass posted a 6-3, 7-5 win as the third seed for Forest Park after Hylton forfeited the No. 2 match. Katrina Brown (6-0, 6-0), Grace Baldwin (6-0, 6-0) and Emily Harmon (6-0, 6-0) added wins for the Bruins in singles.
In the doubles matches, Brown and Chelsea McClune scored an 8-1 decision and Melissa Cun-ningham combined with Harmon for an 8-2 win. Hylton also forfeited the No. 2 doubles match.
• GAR-FIELD 7, WOODBRIDGE 2: Mashal Temory posted a 6-0, 6-1 win in singles to lead the Indians to a victory over the Vikings. Alecia Gaedis (6-1, 6-1), Jackie Meadows (6-4, 2-6, 6-4) and Morgan Watts (6-2, 6-0) also won singles matches for Gar-Field.
Temory and Gaedis teamed for a No. 1 doubles win, a 10-4 result. Watts and Shannon Howard re-corded a 10-1 win and Meadows and April Santos won 10-4 as the No. 3 team.
Rachel Carr won 6-4, 6-3 as Woodbridge’s No. 2 in singles and the Vikings No. 3, Madeline Bur-gos, scored a 6-4, 5-7, 6-4.
• OSBOURN PARK 9, STONEWALL JACKSON 0: Osbourn Park (5-2, 5-2 Cedar Run) received wins from singles players Shanique Alabi (7-5, 7-5), Chelsea Gray (6-2, 7-5), Libby Butler (6-3, 6-1), Kelly Flom (6-0, 6-2), Mandy Arnett (6-1, 6-2) and Michele Flom (6-0, 6-0).
Alabi and Gray won 10-2 in doubles as did Butler and Kelly Flom (10-7) and Arnett and Michele Flom (10-1).
• OSBOURN 7, FAUQUIER 2: Osbourn received wins from No. 2 Catie Phommachanh (2-6, 6-4, 6-3), No. 3 Tiffany Byrd (1-6, 6-1, 6-1), No. 4 Melissa Amen (6-2 6-1), No. 5 Kelly Krouse (7-5, 6-3) and No. 6 Katelyn Goodfellow (7-5, 4-6, 6-2).
Phommachanh and Ameen won 10-3 at No. 2 doubles and Krouse and Goodfellow won at No. 3 doubles (10-6).
SOFTBALL
• STONEWALL JACKSON 11, HYLTON 4: Susie Finzel helped the Raiders on the mound and at the plate. She had four strikeouts and was the winning pitcher.
She was also 3-for-5 with three doubles and a run scored.
Stonewall’s Kasey Miller went 4-for-5 with two doubles and a one run scored.
The Raiders (8-1) recorded 13 hits.
