1. Bulldog Pride
Hylton is young this season, but look for it to bounce back from last year’s 3-7 mark, the program’s first losing season since it fielded its first varsity team in 1992.
2. Battlefield’s Big Man
Junior quarterback Bo Revell is already getting a number of looks from Division I schools in large part because of his 6-foot-6 frame, his strong arm and his ability to throw the deep ball. Revell was the varsity back-up last season, but made two starts before getting injured.
3. McEverything
Osbourn’s Jerell McFadden totaled 1,805 all-purpose yards and accounted for 15 TDs last season. The Eagles will rely heavily on his multi-threat abilities again to make a push for the Cedar Run title.
4. Moving Over
Osbourn Park has the need at quarterback and sophomore transfer Dominique Terrell has the talent. The question will be how quickly the two mesh.
5. New coaches
Tom Gryder at Gar-Field; Mike Dougherty at Stonewall; David Coccoli at Manassas Park.
