Brandon Livingston caught a 20-yard pass from quarterback Donovan Johnson for Manassas Park’s only touchdown on Friday as the Cougars opened the season with a 24-7 loss at Washington & Lee.
Edwin Romero’s extra point tied the game at halftime before W&L scored 17 unanswered points to earn the win.
Manassas Park is at home next Friday night against Spotsylvania.
VOLLEYBALL
• PARK VIEW 3, EMMANUEL CHRISTIAN 0: Emily Anderson had four aces and Allison Harding paced the offense with four kills as the Flames fell to Park View on Friday.
Emily Cassell contributed six service points as Emmanuel fell to 1-1.
The Flames opened the season with a 25-17, 25-21, 17-25, 25-17 victory over Fresta Valley.
