Just before midnight Wednesday, the Green Bay Packers traded future Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Favre to the New York Jets for a conditional draft choice.
This trade moves Favre from the NFC North to the AFC East, where he will face the New England Patriots, the Miami Dolphins and the Buffalo Bills twice a season.
Favre, in his career, is 1-3 against the Jets and now he is a Jet.
He is 2-3 against the Bills, 3-2 against the Dolphins and 2-2 against the defending AFC Champion New England Patriots.
On Saturday, Aug. 16, Favre and the Jets play host to the Washington Redskins in an exhibition game in East Rutherford, NJ.
Outside of the games against the AFC East, the Jets will play San Diego, Arizona, Cincinnati, Kansas City, St. Louis, Tennessee, Denver, San Francisco and Seattle.
Favre will join Jet quarterbacks Chad Pennington, Kellen Clemens, Erik Ainge and Brett Ratliff, with Pennington as the possible odd-man out at this point. Pennington has had trouble staying healthy during his career with the Jets since leaving Marshall University.
