Tosta advances to semifinals of 400-hurdles

Tosta qualified for the semifinals after posting a time of 56.12 in the second heat of the first round Sunday morning. The top three times from each of the four heats plus the four fastest times advanced to the semifinals.
Tosta will run in lane 2 of the first semifinal heat, which begins at 7:52 a.m. EST. She must finish in the top four of her heat to advance to Wednesday's final, which will be at 9:35 a.m. EST
A two-time Olympian, Tosta finished fourth at the 2004 Summer Olympic Games in Athens.
