P-Nats’ Rogelstad promoted to Double-A

Potomac Nationals infielder Matt Rogelstad has been promoted to Double-A Harrisburg.
Rogelstad hit .274 with eight home runs and 39 RBI for Potomac.
The promotion is Rogelstad’s second trip to Double-A since he has been with the Washington Nationals organization.
Rogelstad, a former Seattle Mariners farmhand, represented Potomac on the 2008 Carolina League All-Star squad.
He is also being considered to play on the Canadian Olympic baseball team, which will play in the Beijing games in August.
Also, Potomac outfielder Marvin Lowrance has been named Carolina League player of the week for June 30-July 6.
Lowrance hit .474 during a five-game stretch with five home runs and 11 RBI, which raised his average from .242 to .260.
Lowrance scored eight runs and posted a 1.263 slugging percentage.
