A person was stabbed early Tuesday morning in a Manassas parking lot.

Manassas officers responded to 9412 Main Street, the parking lot of Mackey's American Pub,  at 1:35 a.m. for a malicious wounding, police said.

"The stabbing appears to have been a continuation of a fight which originated in the restaurant," Sgt. Lowell Nevill said.

The stabbing victim was transported to Fairfax Hospital, treated for non life-threatening injuries, and released, according to Nevill.

Officers have identified a suspect and continue to investigate the incident.
