A Stafford woman was arrested Tuesday after police said she rammed a car on Interstate 95, hit it again in a parking lot then spray painted it.
Police were called to a hit and run in the 2900 block of Dale Boulevard around 12:30 a.m.
A 22-year-old Dumfries man told officers the incident began when he was visiting a family member on Woodmark Drive, Prince William County police spokesman Jonathan Perok said.
He and the Stafford woman, who he knew, got into an argument "which escalated physically," Perok said.
The man and a friend left Woodmark Drive in the friend's car, police said.
"The accused followed the victim and allegedly rammed the vehicle multiple times while both were traveling on I-95," according to Perok.
The friend, who was driving, got off I-95 and went to Ashdale Plaza, police said.
"The accused allegedly struck the vehicle again before exiting her vehicle and spray painting the trunk area of the other vehicle," Perok said.
There were no injuries and the car had about $1,000 of damage, police said.
The woman left before officers arrived but came back soon after and was arrested, Perok said.
Allysha Brenise Edwards, 21, of St. George's Dr. in Stafford, was charged with two counts of attempted malicious wounding and destruction of property.
She was held without bond and her next court date was not available.
