Two Prince William County men have been charged in connection with the murder of an Old Dominion University student in Norfolk on Sunday.
David Grimm Jr., 21, of Lost Pond Court in Triangle, has been charged with second-degree murder in the slaying of 20-year-old Paul Johnson.
Johnson, an Old Dominion University student, was walking on West 48th Street around 1 a.m. Sunday when he was struck in the head, Norfolk police said in a news release. Johnson died of his injuries at 2:26 p.m. Sunday.
Grimm was arrested early Monday by Prince William police. Norfolk police also charged Christopher Chase Johnson, 20, of Seminole Road in Lake Ridge, with misdemeanor assault.
Police have not released a motive for the deadly attack, but they are looking for witnesses to the crime.
Norfolk police spokesman Daniel Hudson said booking photos of the suspects haven’t been released due to photo line-ups as part of the ongoing investigation.
