Manassas police are investigating an alleged sexual assault on a city sidewalk Thursday.

The victim was walking in the 9000 block of Sandalwood Drive around 7:06 p.m. when she was approached by a male wearing a ski mask, police spokesperson Senior Officer C.D. Sharp said.

He grabbed the victim’s groin area over her clothing and then ran away. No injuries were reported, Sharp said.

The attacker is described as a white or Hispanic teenager, approximately 4 feet tall with a slim build. He was wearing a gray and white camouflage hoodie, dark pants and a ski mask.

Anyone with information in the case can call 703-257-0800 or the Manassas City/Manassas Park Crime Solvers at 703-330-0330.
