National Weather Service issues black ice advisory

Temperatures overnight are expected to dip into the teens, prompting the National Weather Service to issue a special weather statement for black ice.

"Any surfaces that were previously wet or slushy during the day will freeze overnight," the weather service said. "Be especially cautious for black ice when traveling secondary roads, overpasses and other untreated surfaces."
