Capt. Brandon Cyr, 28, an Air Force instructor pilot from Woodbridge, was killed Saturday in a plane crash in Afghanistan, the Pentagon said in a news release.

Cyr was among four crew members on board an MC-12 plane when it crashed in the Zabul province in southern Afghanistan, the release said.
