There's an annoying trend in high school sports regarding uniform numbers being too small and skinny to read from any distance.

For whatever reasons, jersey numbers have become smaller and skinnier over the years. Sit in the stands at basketball and football games, often it's hard to read the numbers. Other sports as well.

Another trend is the color of some uniform numbers are now too light to see as well. Coupled with being too small and skinny, is that a 32 or a 33? It's very hard to tell. Is that a number 2 or a 3. Same thing.

Very annoying for those who need to know the numbers of players.

Thanks to the Lake Braddock boys high-school basketball team for staying away from the too-small trend and having big large and wide uniform numbers – so easy to read.

Wish every team would do the same. There should be a large-number rule or something.
