A PUBLIC HEARING
PROPOSING TO AMEND
THE RAPPAHANNOCK COUNTY CODE
CHAPTER 151, TAXATION
The Board of Supervisors of Rappahannock County, Virginia, will hold a Public
Hearing on February 7, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. at the Courthouse located at 250 Gay
Street, in Washington, Virginia to consider amending Chapter 151, Taxation, of
the Rappahannock County Code. The proposed amendment will provide additional time between the Board of Equalization hearing application deadline and
the start of hearings. The additional time will allow property record information
to be provided to applicants at least 45-days before their hearing date as required by Code of Virginia § 58.1-3331.
A copy of the full text of the proposed ordinance amendment is on file in the
office of the county administrator. All interested persons are invited to attend
and to make comment on these amendments, or to mail such comments to
the county administrator, P.O. Box 519, Washington, VA 22747 or to admin@
rappahannockcountyva.gov
