Lorenzo C. Reid

Mr. Lorenzo C. Reid is currently a Federal Employee with the Joint Personnel Recovery Agency (JPRA) as the Security Manager for the Personnel Recovery Education Training Center (PRETC), and is a very proud member of the Fredericksburg (VA) Alumni Chapter (E) of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. where he currently serves as the Vice Polemarch, and on the Eastern Province Planning Committee. 

His service to his local community has been that of a great impact in the Fredericksburg and Stafford County school system with his fraternity’s Guide Right/Kappa League program, Five Shields Toastmasters Club #3258313,FBI InfraGard (National Capital Region Chapter), and the DoDEA school system with MCB Quantico Middle/High School’s very own Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) program. His favorite quote is “Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth.” – Muhammad Ali

 Lorenzo is a United States Marine Corps veteran who served as a Machine Gunner instructor at The Basic School (TBS), a 2nd degree Black Belt Martial Arts Instructor at the Martial Arts Center of Excellence (MACE), and has three combat deployments in support of OEF and OIF. 

In his spare time, Lorenzo is a lead combatives instructor with Thompson Self Defense (TSD), founded by Shihan Shurron D. Thompson who he served with at the Martial Arts Center of Excellence. Lorenzo has a B.S. in Criminal Justice, M.S. in Cybersecurity, and will be starting the MsEd in Sports Administration program at The University of Miami (The U!) in January of 2020.
