Robin Shultz

Robin Shultz, LCSW, ACHP-SW, is the Director of Geriatrics at Inova Health System, a role that expands care access and enhances quality for patients age 65+ throughout Northern Virginia.

Following a BA in Journalism from the University of Oklahoma and a stint on Capitol Hill, Robin earned her Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Thereafter, Robin administered programming for families and youth in Prince George’s County, Maryland before joining Inova. She now brings more than fifteen years of experience to bear for patients and teams across the healthcare continuum. Areas of focus and specialty include: Organizational and Talent Management, Strategic Planning, Geriatrics, Research, Home Health, Skilled Nursing Facilities and Transitions of Care.

In her years since joining Geriatrics, Robin has helped to launch and sustain the first regional non-profit model to deliver in-home-primary-care services to Geriatrics patients in Northern Virginia.

Driven by a passion for sustainability and self-care, Robin joined forces with other leaders to launch a non-profit model for the delivery of Palliative Care and Schwartz Center Rounds at Inova Fairfax Hospital. These volunteer Rounds are a rare place where people who don’t usually talk about the heart of the work are willing to share their vulnerability, to question themselves. The program provides an opportunity for dialogue that doesn’t happen anywhere else in healthcare.

Robin is dedicated to the idea that “the best is yet to be” and drives at the promotion of healthy aging through healthy systems of care delivery.
