Tenley Peterson is the director of web and digital strategies at Georgetown Day School and is an appointee to Arlington County’s Planning Commission. Previously, Peterson served on Arlington County’s Fiscal Affairs Advisory Commission for eight years, 3.5 of which she chaired the commission. Additionally, she was an appointee to Arlington County’s Audit Committee, acted as moderator for Arlington’s FY2020 budget town hall meeting, and was a facilitator for the County’s 2018 “Big Ideas” roundtables. She has more than 12 years of experience in communications and management with a proven track record of developing and implementing innovative and effective digital communications strategies. Peterson has expertise in international and NGO environments, having worked and lived in Singapore, China, and London. She graduated summa cum laude from Bryant University with a bachelors in business administration. She graduated with a masters in Asian studies from the University of Hawaii. She lives with her husband and two children in Arlington.
