GOAL: $14,000 | Total to date: $7,548

With over $2,000 in new donations, The Salvation Army’s 2019 Christmas Basket campaign now has received $7,548 in total contributions.

The campaign, sponsored by InsideNoVa/Prince William, has a goal this year of $14,000. The funds raised are used by the Prince William corps of the Salvation Army to support its holiday efforts, such as the Angel Tree program, and to help local families in need. 

Donations received last week were:

  •  Rosemary Lewis, Woodbridge, $100

  • Wood and Dale Wanderers, Woodbridge, $100

  • Ellenor Gedney, Woodbridge, $30

  • Anonymous, $20

  • TL Lynch, Manassas, $100

  • Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bell, Dumfries, $50, in honor of our Savior's birth

  • Fred Trace, Triangle, $100

  • Robert and Cleta Schmitt, Woodbridge, $100

  • Paul and Jane Touchet, Woodbridge, $100

  • John and Margaret Smith, Woodbridge, $150, honoring our friends Ronnie, David, Norma Jean and Paul

  • George Snyder, Manassas, $1,020

  • Tom and Pam Diggs, $100, honoring their four grandkids, Lindsay, John, Madi and Anna

  • Nancy Savage, $100

Donations for the Christmas Basket can come from individuals or groups or be made anonymously. Donors will be listed each week in InsideNoVa/Prince William, continuing through mid-January. Donors may also include a brief message to appear in the newspaper.

To donate,send a check to the Salvation Army, P.O. Box 2424, Woodbridge, VA  22195. Please note “InsideNoVa Christmas Basket” in the memo line.  Donations may also be dropped off at the Salvation Army, 1483 Old Bridge Road, Suite 102, Woodbridge, or made online by credit card at www.insidenova.com/christmasbasket.  Donations must be received by Friday, Jan. 10.
