Waggy's Towing on Friday removed a red minivan swallowed by sinkhole created by a busted stormwater pipe on Princedale Drive in Dale City.

Video and photos showed the van sucked into the hole near Lindendale Road Thursday evening.

The minivan was parked at the time and no one was injured.

On Friday, Prince William County police thanked Waggy's Towing for pulling out the van, a considerable job.

"We appreciate your time and skill," police said.

The Virginia Department of Transportation said the road gave way due to a stormwater pipe, and repairs will take at least a couple of weeks.

Princedale Drive will remain closed between Roundtree Drive and Saddler Lane during those repairs. Police are also warning pedestrians to stay away for safety reasons.
