Marine Corps Base Quantico operates 43 live-fire ranges that support training including small arms, explosive demolitions, artillery fire and the delivery of live-aerial munitions.
The base has issued noise advisories for training through March 12, with a note that there will be several days of late-night and overnight training:

March 1, 8 a.m. – March 2, 4 a.m. - Live Fire Mortars; Howitzer; Demo 5LBS & Claymore; .50Cal Machine Gun
March 2, 7 a.m. – March 3, 4 a.m. - Live Fire Mortars; Howitzer; Demo 10LBS & Claymore; .50Cal Machine Gun
March 3, 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. - Live Fire Demo w/ Claymore
March 4, 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. - Live Fire 25MM Machine Gun; Demo 10LBS
March 5, 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. - Live Fire 25MM Machine Gun
March 7, noon – 4 p.m. - Live Fire Howitzer; Mortars
March 8, 6 a.m. – 4 p.m. - Live Fire Howitzer; Mortars
March 9, 6 a.m. – 4 p.m. - Live Fire Howitzer; Mortars
March 11, 6 a.m. - midnight - Live Fire Mortars; .50Cal Machine Gun; Small Arms
March 12, 8 a.m. – midnight - Live Fire Mortars; .50Cal Machine Gun
The impact of noise, vibrations, and/or illuminations experienced across the area can vary greatly depending on the residential location, atmospheric conditions and reductions to naturally occurring sound barriers.
Because training aboard Quantico is continuous, residents can expect to always hear some noise or feel vibrations.
