Police and fire officials say a man arrested after running naked down Joplin Road on Monday has also been charged with burning his house down.

Police were called to the intersection of Jefferson Davis Highway and Joplin Road in Triangle just before 5 a.m. on Jan. 26 for reports of the naked man, Prince William police spokesman Jonathan Merriman said in a news release.

Officers approached the man, who “laid down on the ground and presented himself for arrest,” Merriman said.

Anthony Roy Queen Jr., 19, of Forestburg Lane in Triangle, was arrested and charged with indecent exposure.

Shortly before his arrest, fire crews were called to the 4400 block of Forestburg Lane for a house fire. They arrived to find flames on the second floor extending into the attic. After making sure everyone was out of the house, crews from the Dumfries, Occoquan-Woodbridge-Lorton and Dale City volunteer fire departments, along Prince William and Quantico fire and rescue, brought the flames under control within 33 minutes.

“The fire was quickly identified as suspicious in nature and the Prince William County Fire Marshal’s Office was brought in to investigate,” county fire spokeswoman Kim Hylander said.

Investigators soon put the pieces together and Queen was charged with arson. Investigators said more charges are pending and more information will be released soon.

The house on Forestburg Lane was completely destroyed, Hylander said. The Red Cross was called in to assist six adults who were displaced by the fire.

Rebel Yell

He's trying to set up his insanity defense. He wants everyone to think he's insane, because he was naked in freezing temps. They can charge with attempted murder, if the house was occupied when set on fire. Throw the book at him, he's just crazy enough to be sane. I know it's an oxymoron.
