The first Workhouse Brewfest, held at the Workhouse Arts Center in Lorton on Aug. 13, brought out beer aficionados and those adventurous types willing to give their taste buds a change from the familiar.

Along with samples from a variety of craft breweries, guests at the festival could enjoy the brews in a beer garden atmosphere while listening to tunes of local musicians.

Insidenova’s Rick Bockes spent several enjoyable hours at Workhouse Brewfest and brought back some photo memories from the fun in Lorton.
